Antoni (Tony) Warzel, B.Comm (Honours), CFA
Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Investment Officer

Tony is a co-founder of Rival Capital Management Inc. and is the firm's President and Chief Investment Officer. Tony acts as Rival Capital's primary portfolio manager. His previous money management experience includes direct portfolio management responsibility for several mandates with aggregate assets of over $1.3 billion. His previous experience includes small and mid cap, dividend and science and technology mandates. Tony, who has been in the investment management industry for 19 years, has consistently been one of Canada's leading equity investment managers and has in-depth knowledge of the mining, metals and technology sectors.

 
 
 

 
Jim McGovern, Managing Director
Jim joined Rival in 2010 and is responsible for business development and all aspects of the firm’s sales and marketing initiatives. Jim’s career began as an Investment Advisor with McLeod Young Weir where he was responsible for sales to private clients. Subsequent to this, Jim moved on to the institutional side of the investment business with Burns Fry, having responsibility for sales to institutional and pension fund investors in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Just prior to joining Rival, Jim spent 11 years at the Vancouver office of RBC Capital Markets having responsibility over the Vancouver institutional sales and trading desks and was also responsible for sales coverage of institutional clients in Western Canada.

Manager of Operations and Client Services

Susan is responsible for all aspects of Rival's client servicing and administration. Her previous work experience includes several years in an administrative/client servicing role at one of Canada's leading investment management/planning firms.
